We’re looking for a delivery-focused Head of Technology to bring clarity, structure, and stability to a growing technology function. This isn’t a vanity title. It’s a practical leadership role for someone who thrives on building high-performing teams and delivering reliable, scalable products, without chasing the next shiny thing. What You’ll Be Doing: Leading 3 engineering squads (7–8 people each) to operate as a cohesive, efficient tech unit Bringing clear direction to tech delivery—establishing process, governance, and sustainable velocity Driving accountability across engineering, QA, and product without overcomplicating the model Owning the delivery roadmap: from business requirements to shipped product, with a relentless focus on outcomes Working closely with execs to align technical output with commercial and regulatory priorities in financial services About You: A pragmatic Head of Technology with a track record of hands-on delivery leadership Strong in team structuring, coaching, and process implementation—not chasing buzzwords, just building great teams Comfortable in regulated, high-trust environments—ideally within fintech, banking, or insurance Experienced working with cross-functional squads, resolving bottlenecks, and simplifying delivery You’re not in this for the title—you care about building, delivering, and leading by doing What’s in It for You: A critical leadership role with real ownership and influence £130,000 base salary meaningful equity options Hybrid working, with a collaborative and focused team environment A flat structure, minimal politics, and the autonomy to get things done A chance to make a real impact—without the noise
