Principal Lawyer Full time (flexible) East Midlands 3- 6 months initially Sellick Partnership is pleased to be working with an East Midlands-based Local Authority, assisting them with the recruitment for a Principal Lawyer. This role involve managing the planning, litigation, and regulatory team. The duties of the successful Principal Lawyer: Managing a team overseeing legal services primarily relating to planning, litigation, governance, and regulatory affairs, providing expert guidance and support Directly line managing a team of 7, including Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, and a Legal Administrator Being a part of the senior management team, supporting the Monitoring Officer in legal oversight and risk management Attending meetings T he benefits of the Principal Lawyer role include: Competitive hourly rate Flexible working hours Hybrid flexible working Rolling contract Experience required: For this role you need to have strong experience in either planning, litigation and regulatory matters. Management experience is beneficial.
