Software Engineer (Typescript/Node.js and Python)

We are Dutch recruitment agency based in Hilversum and we are preferred suppliers directly to the big Banking organisations here in the Netherlands. For one of our top Banking client based in Amsterdam we are looking for a Software Engineer with experience in the Banking sector. 36- 40 hours 2 year project Hybrid (2 days per week onsite) The project: Improving the reliability and integrity of the team's platform while taking pressure of the rest to team, enabling them to focus on strategic initiatives. Responsibilities: Collaborate on architecture, technical design and the building of applications so that together with fellow software engineers you help to improve the team’s competency Produce clean, stable, fast and well-architected code Own the quality of the code you produce by taking measures to build it in and keep it high. This includes writing unit, integration and E2E tests Own and operate the backend of New10 together with your teammates by rotating through on-call incident management shifts Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies Skillset needed: Extensive experience with Typescript/Node.js and Python Sufficient frontend capabilities to share the light FE load with the rest of the, mainly BE, team Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB Familiarity with serverless architectures Strong experience with designing, managing and working with REST APIs Key characteristics: You just love to code and improve every day You have years of experience with fast-paced applications and products You strive for clean maintainable code and know how to test thoroughly You’ve already shifted left on security and quality Interview process: One technical interview (60 min Teams chat) and one softs skills (20 mins) If this seems like a good fit, please apply for the role and if you need more information before applying, please reach out directly.
