Transport Booking Clerk

Be responsible for scheduling and managing transportation bookings, ensuring accurate documentation, and providing excellent customer service. You will assist customers with booking requests, manage bookings and resolve inquiries, contributing to smooth transportation operations. Responsibilities: Booking Management: Assist customers with booking requests for various modes of transport, buses - ensuring accurate details and scheduling. Documentation : Maintain accurate records of bookings, including customer information, dates, times, destinations, and any special requirements Customer Service : Provide friendly and efficient service, answering inquiries, addressing concerns, and resolving issues related to bookings. Communication : Communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and external providers regarding booking details, changes or cancellations System Proficiency : Utilize booking systems, software, and tools to manage bookings efficiently and accurately. Problem Solving : Address customer inquiries and issues promptly, employing problem-solving skills to enhance customer satisfaction Record Keeping : Maintain accurate records of bookings, including customer details, travel arrangements, and any related documentation Coordination: Coordinate with other departments, such as operations or finance, to ensure smooth and efficient booking processes Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures related to booking management and customer service. Skills and Qualifications: Matric with relevant work experience in similar role within Logistics/Transport space Strong customer service skills - ability to interact with customers Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written Ability to manage multiple bookings, track deadlines and, prioritize tasks - Highly organized Accuracy in documenting bookings and maintaining records - Attention to detail Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using booking systems and software Knowledge of Transport Industry - Understanding of transportation logistics and booking procedures If this sounds like you, we would like to hear from you.
