Technical Project Manager

Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Engineering Project Manager to oversee the development, documentation, and successful completion of engineering projects. This role requires a strong background in engineering principles, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project timelines, gathering and defining requirements, ensuring quality control, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Coordination: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, milestones, timelines, and resources. Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, design, QA, etc.) to ensure alignment and smooth workflow. Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Work closely with stakeholders (internal and external) to gather project requirements. Document and maintain clear, detailed project specifications, technical requirements, and functional requirements. Ensure all documentation is current and accessible to relevant team members. Project Execution and Monitoring: Lead project execution, ensuring timely completion and scope adherence. Monitor progress, adjust plans as necessary, and troubleshoot issues. Track and report on performance, deliverables, and risks. Team Leadership and Communication: Foster collaboration among multidisciplinary teams and maintain effective communication channels. Provide regular updates to stakeholders and management on project status and metrics. Lead and motivate team members to ensure high performance and timely delivery. Quality Assurance and Risk Management: Ensure all deliverables meet established quality standards. Identify potential risks early and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards, as applicable. Project Completion and Handover: Oversee final project review and ensure all deliverables meet specifications. Prepare comprehensive post-project documentation and transition plans. Lead project post-mortems to analyze successes, challenges, and areas for improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 3-5 years of experience in engineering project management, including documentation and requirements management. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, tools, and software. Proven ability to manage multiple projects with varying complexities and timelines. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana). Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. PMP or relevant project management certification is a plus. Desired Skills: Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into clear documentation. Experience working with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and quality assurance. Knowledge of agile project management methodologies is a plus.
