Senior E C I engineer

We're currently seeking a Senior ECI Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a key role offering the opportunity to work on complex and rewarding projects in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment. Role Overview: The Senior ECI Engineer will be responsible for the design, specification, and delivery of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems on large-scale industrial projects. You will work closely with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical excellence and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of ECI systems for industrial or infrastructure projects Prepare detailed engineering documents: specifications, datasheets, drawings, and schedules Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and safety evaluations (e.g., HAZOP, SIL) Oversee installation, commissioning, and handover processes Liaise with vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure technical compliance Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team Requirements: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related discipline 7 years of experience in ECI engineering within [relevant industry] Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., IEC, BS, ATEX, NEC) Proficiency in using engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or AVEVA Experience with PLC/SCADA systems and instrumentation selection Excellent communication and project coordination skills Chartered status or working towards it (desirable)
