Regional Broker

Hire Resolve is looking for a skilled and motivated Regional Broker on behalf of our client, a well-established company in the insurance and banking sector. This role is ideal for a professional with strong experience in underwriting, sales, and broker development. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving business growth, managing client relationships, and ensuring technical excellence across the region. Responsiiblities Sales & Profitability: Achieve targeted sales volumes and underwriting profit. Develop and execute strategies to grow and retain profitable business. Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strategic relationships with brokers, clients, and internal teams. Oversee the implementation of service levels and performance expectations. Operational Excellence: Ensure underwriting processes align with governance frameworks and best practices. Monitor and improve service delivery to internal and external stakeholders. Leadership & Collaboration: Promote teamwork and a culture of professional collaboration. Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve operational goals. Requirements BCom degree or equivalent. AIISA or FIISA designation. FAIS compliant. Valid Code 08 Drivers License. Minimum 5 years experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry, including 3 years in a technical/operational capacity. In-depth knowledge of the South African insurance market and regulatory environment. Experience in managing distribution channels and broker relationships. Proven team leadership and senior management exposure. Strong grasp of underwriting and sales in the insurance space. High-level compliance awareness and adherence to industry standards. Proficiency in relevant IT systems and tools. Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills. Ability to prioritize, manage pressure, and drive collaborative results.
