Social network you want to login/join with: Alias-Executive for an international big pharmaceutical company (generic drugs) is looking for a: Chief Accountant (salary cap 65K) IIn this exciting and highly visible role you will make an impact by: Responsible for the timely preparation of the local statutory financial statements Manage a team of 3-4 accountants and senior accountants Control and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations and balance sheet reviews with management and internal/external auditors Coordinate SOX testing, Internal and external audits for assigned legal entities Coordinate centralized Transfer price process from Finance and Accounting point of view in cooperation with Corporate Accounting group Coordinate & execute the preparation of VAT returns and maintain/improve VAT compliance processes for the assigned entities Lead and develop the team reporting into this role, coach, and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions Implement management practices to drive continuous improvement & problem solving within the Accounting Function Support the team during overflow or escalations Participate in the EMEA Finance Leadership Team, contributing to the continuous improvement of Finance in EMEA and team development Perform ad hoc duties as required Qualifications: To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess the following skills and experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration Minimum of 5-6 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting within an international organization or experience with a Big4 in accounting or audit Excellent knowledge and experience with local statutory/tax regulations and compliance across multiple EMEA jurisdictions Genuine interest in developing people and managing small teams A ‘hands-on’ work style, comfortable with details, able to switch between tactical and strategic issues Ability to meet tight deadlines, handle fluctuating workloads, and provide accurate data Thoroughness, attention to detail, and composure under pressure Strong communication and presentation skills Confident, enthusiastic, and a team player J-18808-Ljbffr
