Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Food Industry

For our client, a leading manufacturing company operating in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, a category leader with significant commercial subsidiaries internationally, we are seeking a: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) The CFO will be responsible for managing all financial activities of the company, taking a leadership role within the executive team. The position reports directly to the Group CEO and will lead the finance, administration, and control teams. The role requires strong strategic and operational experience to ensure sustainable business growth both nationally and internationally. Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies supporting growth and resource optimization, with a particular focus on international markets. International Financial Management: Coordinate global financial and treasury activities, manage foreign currencies, international financial risks (e.g., currency exchange, interest rates), and optimize capital structure across the countries where the company operates. Cash Pooling and Liquidity Optimization: Manage and coordinate international cash pooling operations to maximize liquidity efficiency and reduce overall financial costs. Performance Management: Monitor, analyze, and forecast financial performance; oversee budgeting and planning processes. Liquidity Optimization: Manage working capital, cash flows, and treasury policies, including relationships with financial institutions, with a global approach. Accounting and Control: Supervise accounting and financial statements, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations. External Relations: Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and financial stakeholders, including international partners. Control and Reporting: Design and manage integrated financial reporting systems and Business Intelligence tools, consolidating data at the international level. M&A and Investments: Manage extraordinary operations and support expansion and acquisition projects internationally. Team Management: Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement, coordinating resources internationally. Digitalization: Support the implementation of advanced ERP systems and BI tools, ensuring global integration. Sustainability and Innovation: Promote financial sustainability policies and innovation initiatives. Governance: Strengthen corporate governance and financial culture. Required Skills and Competencies Solid experience as a CFO in complex multinational environments, with proven ability to define and lead financial strategies in Food manufacturing companies or FMCG. Strategic vision and ability to influence business through deep financial analysis and scenario planning to support top-level decisions. Expertise in managing extraordinary transactions (M&A, joint ventures, restructurings), with strong value orientation and risk management skills. Deep knowledge of international accounting standards (IAS/IFRS) and ability to oversee complex financial consolidation processes. Excellent liquidity management and capital optimization skills at an international level, with specific experience in cash pooling and foreign exchange risk management. Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and Business Intelligence platforms Proven leadership in managing and developing multidisciplinary teams, results-oriented with the ability to lead organizational change. High professional integrity, problem-solving mindset, and proactive management of business challenges. Experience in implementing digital innovation and financial sustainability as strategic business drivers. Fluent English, with excellent communication skills for interaction with international stakeholders.
