Job Description

You will be responsible for scaling, automation, and optimizing HBX data governance policies and processes across the entire data lifecycle. This role is a key contributor to delivering and successfully executing the Data Governance Roadmap. You will be actively involved in creating the company's data quality foundations by developing and delivering technical solutions related to: Data Governance & Management policies as code Automatic Data Observability and Quality metrics implementation Effective and efficient Metadata Management & Data Catalogue Data Policies and Procedures automation Data Security processes and controls automation Responsibilities : Reporting to the Head of Data Governance Office, this role will be responsible for designing and implementing: Automatic Data Governance policies and procedures, including bad practices detection and data quality issues prevention across different layers of the data stack and phases of the data lifecycle. Automatic Data Management policies, procedures, and controls (policy as code) to prevent data misusage. Automatic Data Quality controls, validation, metrics, and controls. Automatic Data Observability alerts & workflows. In coordination with the Data Governance Enterprise Architect, you will design systems for governed and quality data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources using SQL, Python, and AWS big data technologies. You will also build and deploy Data Governance tools for Data Analysts and Data Scientists to support product innovation. Skills Education: Degree in Computer & Information Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, BI & Data Analytics, Big Data. Experience: Advanced Python and SQL knowledge, experience with relational databases, data security management, root cause analysis, automation, and analytics skills. Technical Skills: Cloud Data Warehouse management (Snowflake or similar), programming (SQL, Python, REST API), ETL tools (Airflow, Snowpipe), data transformation (dbt), governance platforms (Collate, Collibra), visualization tools (Tableau), version control (Bitbucket, GitHub), documentation (Atlassian Confluence). Soft Skills: Excellent communication, project management (Agile, Scrum, Kanban), proficiency in English & Spanish, strategic thinking, results-driven, data literacy, visualization, and innovation skills. Day-to-day activities include governing the HBX Data Platform Stack, designing automated data governance policies and controls, ensuring data security and compliance, and managing the full data lifecycle.
