WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR : Cloud & DevOps Engineer - ESA Missions Location : Rome | Hybrid (2 days on-site, 3 days remote) Join our client’s elite team in Rome, supporting European space missions with 30 years of expertise in IT and space services, including Earth observation and satellite data processing. Responsibilities include : Overseeing real-time mission operations in cloud environments. Diagnosing and resolving operational issues with minimal downtime. Analyzing and optimizing system performance. Developing automation scripts for infrastructure and mission operations. Supporting software deployments, system integrations, and upgrades. Maintaining operational procedures and documentation. Performing routine application maintenance for performance and security. Required Skills : Linux administration and troubleshooting. Shell scripting (Bash, Python). Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Troubleshooting and performance optimization skills. Networking fundamentals. Experience in project planning and technical reporting. English proficiency (B2 or higher). Nice to Have : Monitoring tools like Grafana, Kibana. Web technologies and servers (HTML, XML, Apache, Tomcat). Python scripting, LDAP, database knowledge. Experience with ESA missions and space industry protocols. Personal Skills : Proactive, team-oriented, excellent communicator, adaptable, detail-oriented, able to work in multicultural environments.
