RINA is currently recruiting for a La Spezia Senior Marine Surveyor to join its office in La Spezia, Italy within the Mediterranean and Africa Marine Division. Mission As a Senior Marine Surveyor at RINA Services S.p.A., you will have the opportunity to lead and participate in critical surveying processes within the marine industry. Your role involves ensuring precision, reliability, and advancement in surveying practices while adhering to the highest standards of quality and accuracy. Leveraging your extensive knowledge of maritime Rules, Regulations, and industry best practices, you will contribute to the organization's growth and success. Key Accountabilities Professional Specialist : Stay at the forefront of industry developments, recommend enhancements to surveying procedures, and promote safety initiatives. Inspection and Reporting : Conduct regular surveys on diverse marine assets to ensure compliance with classification and statutory mandates. Prepare detailed inspection reports to support decision-making. Leadership and Coordination : Plan, schedule, and oversee surveying operations efficiently. Guide junior surveyors to maintain service excellence and operational efficiency. Client Interaction : Engage with clients to address issues and foster satisfaction through effective communication and tailored solutions. Training and Development : Mentor and train junior team members to enhance their skills and competencies. Quality Assurance : Maintain high quality standards in all surveying activities, ensuring accuracy and excellence. Ethical Conduct : Uphold the highest ethical standards, promoting integrity, transparency, and fairness in all professional interactions. Education Master’s Degree in Naval Engineering Qualifications Minimum 3 years' experience as a Surveyor or 6 years' experience in engineering / inspection / survey fields with an IACS member Classification Society. Familiarity with RINA's technical positioning within the marine industry and understanding of standards and best practices. Proficiency in English for effective communication and documentation. Ability to develop in-depth knowledge of RINA Rules, regulations, and safety policies. Knowledge of shipbuilding practices and operations for surveys. Experience in marine management system audits and testing activities. Proficiency in ship engineering systems, relevant software, and technical interfaces.
