Job Description
Department: Engineering Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Italy - Venice Description The Maintenance Manager, under the supervision of the ADOE, is responsible for supporting, supervising, scheduling, and motivating the hotel maintenance team to ensure that all corrective and preventive maintenance tasks are completed effectively. Key Responsibilities Complete, evaluate, and follow-up on employee performance reviews and six-month progress reports in a timely manner. Maintain all hotel building and equipment in good and neat condition. Ensure effective and concise preventive maintenance schedules are followed. Communicate repair and maintenance status to the ADOE daily. Maintain fire-life-safety equipment in top condition. Ensure the fire-life-safety first response team understands all procedures, equipment, and alarms. Establish good relationships with reliable 24-hour emergency service suppliers. Compile and submit a monthly consumption report on utilities to the ADOE. Provide ongoing training to the engineering team members. Promote effective inter-departmental communication and good relations within the hotel. Prepare and execute projects as outlined by the Director or Assistant Director of Engineering. Patrol all public areas daily, ensuring proper lighting. Ensure engineering team members are well groomed and in uniform. Develop and maintain an energy conservation program to meet budget targets. Prepare purchase requisitions for approval. Supervise maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and guest satisfaction. Inspect all building areas regularly and take corrective actions as needed. Implement corrective and preventive maintenance in guestrooms and corridors. Coordinate, review, and ensure compliance with M&E agreements. Participate in planning and setup for hotel events and festive seasons. Maintain professionalism and high standards, encouraging staff to do the same. Maintain a clean and organized workshop area. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of Engineering. Be on call after hours and coordinate tradespersons as needed. Attend meetings and training sessions. Handle administrative duties such as leading meetings, writing reports, and memos. Additional responsibilities may be added as needed. Job Requirements NATIONALITY: Eligible for a work permit in Italy EDUCATION: Certified technical diploma in mechanical (HVAC) or electrical EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years in building or plant maintenance, in a similar role or promoted internally LANGUAGE: Ability to communicate effectively in a multinational environment: Italian – excellent oral and written skills English – excellent oral and written skills Additional language – beneficial Competencies Customer-focused and people-oriented Ability to lead and motivate a team of multi-skilled technicians Good organizational, work planning, and reporting skills Basic computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) J-18808-Ljbffr
