Accountant

Are you a newly qualified CA(SA) ready for a new challenge? I am seeking an Accountant for my client who is a listed retail entity. You will be responsible for the group and brands budgets and forecasts, expense reporting, as well as assisting the Group Finance Manager. If you meet the requirements, please apply. Responsibilities: Assist with preparation of group and brand budgets and forecasts Assist with preparation of monthly updates to budgets and forecasts Prepare monthly expense analysis to support Management accounts review, analysis of variances between actual and budgeted expenses Prepare and issue monthly departmental expense reporting Review Branch Monthly Accounts for issue - Group Operational Reports (Blue Trading Reports) Prepare monthly procurement summaries for Merchandise and BEE assessments Assist with preparation of BLNE quarterly management accounts Assist with General Ledger (Smartstream) control and management Approve journals and run TB's etc where necessary Authorize monthly/daily payment cycles Review month end Accounts Payable payment remittance Draft statutory annual financial statements Liaise with auditors to ensure all statutory annual financial statements are completed within regulated timeframes Ad-hoc projects as required Assist Group Finance Manager with day-to-day output of Finance section Requirements: Qualification: Newly qualified CA(SA) Retail Audit Experience beneficial Please note that if you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of your application, please consider it as unsuccessful for this particular role.
