Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities Accountable for the coordinated management of multiple events directed toward strategic business and other internal/external organisational objectives Drive revenue streams for events by developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies Management of high-quality events from conceptualisation, planning, and implementation Maximising customer service and the conferencing experience to attract customers and increase conferencing business to the Club, through effective marketing and selling of conference and banqueting facilities Function Planning and Execution – attending pre-conference meetings and providing clients with relevant solutions/ options and pricing for conferencing/ functions that are innovative and in line with industry trends Adhere to all Club management standards, controls, administrative systems, and procedures Management of Banqueting Team Generation of reports (Turn away reports, Weekly Cash Flow Forecasts, Guest Satisfaction Surveys, etc.) Serves as a Relief to the Restaurant Team on an ad-hoc basis Minimum Requirements Extensive and varied experience in the eventing industry, with a minimum of 5 years of solid experience Minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing large corporate and/or public events Diploma in Events Management and/or related Driver’s licence and own vehicle Personal Attributes and Skills Required Gregarious personality with strong marketing, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to adapt the communication style to suit the audience Self-motivated, ethical, tactful, reliable, and accountable Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, be deadline-driven, and have the ability to both give and receive direction
