They are seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to lead the credit risk function in Singapore. This is a critical leadership role overseeing credit risk for the bank’s commercial and corporate lending portfolio, ensuring sound risk governance while supporting sustainable business growth. Key Responsibilities: • Credit Risk Oversight: Lead and provide oversight on all credit risk matters relating to commercial and corporate loans in Singapore. Review and approve credit proposals, ensuring alignment with internal risk appetite, regulatory expectations, and group policies. Maintain strong oversight of the loan book through active monitoring of portfolio quality, sector exposures, and early warning indicators. Drive proactive risk mitigation strategies and maintain a balanced, well-diversified credit portfolio. Work closely with business heads to support credit structuring, deal review, and client selection. Offer sound and commercially viable risk advice on new lending opportunities, renewals, and complex transactions. • Risk Governance & Policy Leadership: Ensure the effective implementation of credit risk frameworks and policies locally. Collaborate with group and regional risk teams to tailor governance standards to the local market environment and regulatory requirements. Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Experience: 15–20 years of credit risk and underwriting experience in commercial and corporate banking. Prior leadership of credit approval processes and large loan exposures is essential. Skills: Strong credit judgment, stakeholder management, and communication skills. A balanced risk mindset with commercial acumen is critical.
