Job Description

Oversee the daily operations of vineyard management, including planting, pruning, canopy management, and harvesting. Monitor vineyard health, soil conditions, and water management to optimize grape quality. Implement sustainable viticultural practices to enhance grape quality and environmental sustainability. Conduct pest and disease management through integrated pest control methods. Analyze soil samples and apply fertilizers and nutrients as required. Work closely with the winemaking team to coordinate harvest timing and grape selection. Manage irrigation schedules and water usage efficiently. Record and report data on vineyard performance, yield forecasts, and quality assessments. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Collaborate with farm workers to provide training and supervision. Bachelor's degree in Viticulture, Agricultural Science, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in vineyard management or viticulture. Knowledge of modern viticulture techniques and sustainable farming practices. Strong understanding of soil science, plant health, and pest management. Ability to operate vineyard machinery and equipment safely. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Proficiency in data collection and analysis related to vineyard performance. Preferred Skills: Experience working with premium wine grape varieties. Capability to work long hours during peak seasons.
