Logistics Manager

Duties and responsibilities will include: Negotiations with shipping lines and carriers & monitoring of costs Management of the total export logistical chain for both sea and air freight (forecasts, booking of containers and transport, instructions to shipping lines / freight forwarders, etc.) Effective management of all relevant documentation Timeous and accurate capturing of all relevant information and data on DiPAR system Circulation of packing list to respective receivers Keeping the commercial team and international receivers informed regarding vessel departures & arrivals Management of shipping claims Building and maintaining relationships with producers, clients and service providers Staying up to date with international trade regulations and ensuring shipments comply with export requirements (various commodities across market segments) Delegating and monitoring tasks performed by Logistics Administrator Analysing logistical data to support strategic decision-making Requirements: A relevant tertiary qualification 3-5 years logistical experience in fruit exports Very good communication & interpersonal skills (English and Afrikaans) A confident, energetic, and dynamic personality Excellent planning & organisational skills Good negotiation skills High levels of emotional intelligence Good problem-solving and decision-making skills Adaptability and ability to manage change Ability to function well under pressure and prioritise tasks Detail orientated Advanced computer literacy
