Technical Sales Representative or Engineer

RPO's client is actively seeking a skilled Technical Sales Representative or Engineer to join our client in Cape Town, Western Cape. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional with a strong electrical background and proven sales expertise to drive business within the electrical industry. Responsibilities: Identify and generate leads through various channels including networking, referrals, and strategic outreach. Utilize CRM tools to manage leads and track sales progress efficiently. Conduct in-depth consultations with potential customers to understand their specific electrical needs and challenges. Evaluate client requirements and provide tailored technical solutions. Present the benefits of our electrical products and solutions, including efficiency gains, cost savings, and technical advantages. Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations to educate customers about our offerings. Explain the technical aspects of products and address any concerns or objections. Prepare comprehensive and accurate proposals outlining recommended solutions, equipment specifications, and financial analysis. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure accurate and competitive proposals. Effectively negotiate terms and pricing to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring profitability. Overcome objections and address customer concerns to facilitate the closing of deals. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers throughout the sales process and beyond. Provide excellent customer service, address inquiries, and manage post-sale follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and foster referrals. Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, competitor activities, and relevant regulations within the electrical sector. Continuously enhance knowledge of electrical technology advancements and industry best practices. Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and project management, to ensure a seamless transition from sales to implementation. Communicate customer requirements and provide necessary documentation for successful project execution. Requirements: Electrical Diploma is essential. Minimum of 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in the electrical industry. Proven experience within a sales environment with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong understanding of electrical systems, market trends, and industry standards. Proficiency with CRM software and other sales tools. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Self-motivated and results-oriented with a passion for electrical technology.
