Grain Procurement Specialist & Strategist

Botselo Mills (Pty) Ltd, a dynamic and established maize milling company, situated in Delareyville, North West Province, is seeking to appoint an experienced grain specialist. The post reports to the CEO of the company and entails the following: Procure grain at the most economical price. Liaise with Co-ops and other institutions regarding procurement of raw material based on requirements. Do price determinations within agreed mandates from procurement committee. Ensure the accurate transfer / delivery of bulk raw material within predetermined specifications, and payments made within agreed terms and conditions. Physical management of bulk purchases door to door balancing. Conduct dispute negotiations. Managing chop sales and price determinations. Candidate Requirements: B-degree in Agriculture, or related qualification. In-depth knowledge of and at least 8 years relevant experience of the maize industry. Strategic thinking Analytical abilities Knowledge of supply-demand economics Ability to negotiate favourable contracts Ability to respect market directions and handle the pressure of market positions. Knowledge of Safex trading Ability to establish sound relationships with role players in the industry
