Cloud Engineer - AWS

Title : Sr. Cloud Engineer Location : Delhi, Delhi, India Experience : 36 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies Job Type : Full-time Responsibilities : - Design, architect, and implement robust and scalable cloud solutions on AWS, aligning with best practices and security guidelines. - Deploy and manage AWS infrastructure as code using tools like AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform. - Configure and maintain various AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, and CloudWatch. - Implement and manage security measures within the AWS environment, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection. - Monitor and optimize the performance and cost-effectiveness of our AWS infrastructure. - Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of applications and services. - Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. - Collaborate with development teams to understand their application requirements and provide guidance on cloud-native architectures and deployment strategies. - Participate in the planning and execution of cloud migration projects. - Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment of applications to AWS. - Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements within the AWS environment. - Document cloud infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures. - Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices. - Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for critical cloud infrastructure components. Technical Skills : Core Services : Deep understanding and hands-on experience with core AWS services including : 1. Compute : EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS 2. Storage : S3, EBS, EFS 3. Networking : VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, NACLs, Route 53, CloudFront 4. Databases : RDS (various engines), DynamoDB 5. Identity and Access Management (IAM) Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Proficiency in using IaC tools such as : 1. AWS CloudFormation 2. AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) 3. Terraform Scripting Languages : Strong scripting skills in at least one of the following : 1. Python 2. Bash 3. PowerShell - Operating Systems : Experience with Linux and/or Windows Server administration in a cloud environment. - Networking Fundamentals : Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles. - Monitoring and Logging : Experience with AWS monitoring and logging services such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and/or third-party monitoring tools. - CI/CD : Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. - Security Best Practices : Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and experience implementing security controls in AWS. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. - 36 years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing infrastructure on AWS. - Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate, or AWS Certified Developer Associate are highly preferred. Bonus Points : - Experience with advanced AWS services such as API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, Step Functions. - Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. - Experience with serverless architectures using AWS Lambda and API Gateway. - Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices. - Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef. - Understanding of cost optimization strategies in AWS. - Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning in AWS.
