Senior Data Analyst - SQL/Python

Job Description : Robinhood Insurance Broking is looking for a highly driven and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our analytics team. This role is critical in driving data-informed decision-making, optimizing processes, and enhancing overall business strategy. You will collaborate with teams across underwriting, sales, and operations, acting as a key enabler of data-driven business improvements. The ideal candidate comes with a deep understanding of data analytics, visualization, and modeling, and preferably has experience in the insurance or financial services industry. Roles and Responsibilities : - Analyze large, complex datasets to derive actionable business insights and strategic recommendations. - Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics tracking KPIs, claims, underwriting, and customer trends. - Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support cross-functional business initiatives. - Apply statistical techniques, predictive modeling, and machine learning algorithms to solve key business challenges. - Collaborate with data scientists to optimize models and analytical processes. - Design interactive dashboards and data visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc. - Translate complex data insights into concise narratives for non-technical stakeholders and senior management. - Partner with product, underwriting, and operations teams to solve business problems through data. - Ensure data accuracy and alignment with business requirements in collaboration with data engineers. - Optimize data workflows and recommend process automation to enhance efficiency. Skills and Qualifications Required : - 5 years in data analytics, including 2 years in a senior/lead role. - Prior experience in the insurance or financial services sector preferred. - Proficiency in SQL and cloud data querying tools like BigQuery. - Strong programming skills in Python, with knowledge of libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Seaborn, Matplotlib. - Expertise in data visualization tools: Power BI, Tableau, SAS Viya, IBM Cognos, or Knime. - Solid understanding of data wrangling, cleaning, and processing techniques. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. - Experience in statistical and machine learning techniques: regression models, SVMs, decision trees, clustering, ensemble methods. - Knowledge of ETL, predictive analytics, and text analytics. - Experience with Git for version control and JIRA for collaboration. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced), Word, and PowerPoint. - Operating System experience: Windows and Linux.
