AEM Developer

Job Title : Lead AEM Developer Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable AEM components, templates, workflows, dialogs, and OSGi services based on project requirements. - Develop and maintain custom AEM workflows and integrate them with other systems as needed. - Implement and customize AEM authoring and publishing environments. - Integrate AEM with various backend systems, third-party applications, and other marketing technology platforms. - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following AEM best practices and coding standards. - Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and knowledge sharing within the team. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AEM implementations, including performance bottlenecks and functional defects. - Optimize AEM applications for performance, scalability, and security. - Collaborate effectively with project managers, business analysts, content authors, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. - Stay up-to-date with the latest AEM features, updates, and best practices. - Contribute to the planning and estimation of development tasks. - Participate in the deployment and configuration of AEM environments. - Create and maintain technical documentation related to AEM development and configurations. - Mentor and guide junior developers as needed. Requirements : - Experience : 8 years of hands-on experience in developing and implementing solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform (versions 6.x and above, including AEM as a Cloud Service experience is a plus). - AEM Architecture : Strong understanding of AEM architecture, including Sites, Assets, Forms, and underlying technologies like Sling, OSGi, and JCR (Java Content Repository). - Backend Development : Proficiency in Java development with a solid understanding of OSGi framework, Apache Sling, and JCR API. - Frontend Development : Solid understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and related frameworks/libraries (e.g., jQuery, React, Angular, or Vue.js). Experience with AEM's client-side libraries and front-end build processes. - AEM Development Tools : Hands-on experience with AEM development tools such as CRXDE Lite, Felix Console, and AEM Developer Tools. - Workflow Development : Experience in designing and implementing custom AEM workflows using the Workflow Engine. - Dialog and Component Development : Proven ability to develop custom AEM components and dialogs using Sightly/HTL (HTML Template Language). - Integration Experience : Experience integrating AEM with other systems via APIs (RESTful, SOAP) and other integration methods. - Build Tools : Experience with build management tools like Maven and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI). - Version Control : Proficiency in using Git for version control and collaborative development. - Deployment and Configuration : Understanding of AEM deployment methodologies and experience with configuring AEM environments. - Problem-Solving Skills : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. - Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Teamwork : Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Bonus Points : - Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service and its specific development patterns. - Familiarity with AEM integrations with other Adobe Marketing Cloud products (Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target). - Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and experience in developing accessible AEM components. - Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques specific to AEM. - Experience with headless CMS concepts and implementation using AEM. - Familiarity with testing frameworks for AEM (JUnit, AEM Mocks). - Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in AEM Developer or Architect.
