Job Description
Job Title : Senior ServiceNow : Pune, : 5 Years Key Responsibilities : - Lead the design and development of complex ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, workflows, integrations, and service portals, based on business requirements. - Utilize ServiceNow development best practices and platform capabilities (e.g., Glide scripting, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, Scheduled Jobs, etc.) to create efficient and scalable solutions. - Design and implement data models, security rules, and access controls within the ServiceNow platform. - Develop and maintain technical documentation for all developed solutions. - Design and implement automated workflows using ServiceNow Workflow Editor and Flow Designer to streamline business processes and improve efficiency. - Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement. - Implement complex conditional logic and approvals within workflows. - Design, develop, and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using various integration methods (e.g., REST APIs, SOAP APIs, JDBC, MID Server). - Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues. - Ensure data integrity and security during data exchange between systems. - Design, develop, and maintain intuitive and user-friendly Service Portals using Service Portal technologies (e.g., AngularJS, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, JavaScript). - Customize portal widgets and develop new widgets to meet specific business requirements. - Ensure a consistent and positive user experience on the Service Portal. - Identify and resolve performance issues within the ServiceNow platform. - Optimize scripts, workflows, and configurations for optimal performance and scalability. - Utilize ServiceNow performance monitoring tools to identify areas for improvement. - Participate in all phases of testing, including unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). - Develop and execute test plans and test cases for developed solutions. - Identify and resolve defects and ensure the quality of delivered solutions. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior ServiceNow developers. - Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. - Contribute to the development of team standards and processes. - Assist with ServiceNow platform upgrades and patching, ensuring minimal disruption to services. - Troubleshoot issues related to platform upgrades. - Stay up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow features and functionalities. - Collaborate effectively with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical solutions. - Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on development progress. Required Skills and Experience : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer. - Deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform architecture, modules, and functionalities (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, etc.). - Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including Glide scripting. - Experience with ServiceNow development tools and technologies, including: - Business Rules - Client Scripts - UI Policies and UI Actions - Script Includes - Workflow Editor and Flow Designer - Service Portal (AngularJS, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS) - Reporting and Analytics - Experience with integration technologies such as REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and JDBC. - Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. - Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. - Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Preferred Skills and Experience : - ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist). - Experience with specific ServiceNow modules beyond ITSM (e.g., ITOM, CSM, HRSD, GRC). - Experience with automated testing frameworks within ServiceNow. - Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell. - Experience with source control systems (e.g., Git). - Understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practices.
