Overview
Our Program and Construction Management division has an immediate need for Arborists for NYC Parks.
LiRo-Hill is seeking multiple Arborists to support the delivery of a citywide tree planting program spanning multiple years. This initiative will enhance NYC’s urban canopy and promote sustainable landscapes. Arborists with varying levels of experience are encouraged to apply.

Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Manage, inspect, and administer large-scale tree planting programs.
- Oversee general NYC construction contract administration.
- Conduct site assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to enhance environmental sustainability.
- Candidates should be prepared to work across all five boroughs of NYC
Qualifications
- Certified Arborist by the International Society of Arboriculture
- Experience in construction methods within public rights-of-way.
- Knowledge of structural soils, concrete, or permeable pavements.
- Background in urban forestry, arboriculture, or horticulture.
- Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Forestry, Arboriculture, Horticulture, or related plant sciences will be considered as relevant experience
