Junior Commodity Specialist (Swellendam)

Description SSK has the following career opportunity at their Grain division in Swellendam. The suitable candidate will report to the Senior Manager: Grain. Responsibilities Supporting procurement, marketing, trading, and price risk management of grain. Ensuring effective communication with members and stakeholders. Contributing to hedging strategies and market analysis within the Grain division. Requirements Relevant tertiary qualification and at least three years of proven experience in Procurement. Marketing, trading, and price management of all JSE-related grain commodities. Required to complete the SAIFM Agricultural Products Markets Dealers examination. Practical experience in back-to-back transactions, exposure to SAFEX and other hedging mechanisms. Communicating, preparing, and presenting market-related information and data to members. Strong language and numerical skills, and excellent interpersonal and negotiation abilities. Advanced computer proficiency (MS Office) and a valid Code B (Code 08) drivers license. Must be willing to travel within the SSK service area and work outside of normal business hours. Prior experience with logistics, grain handling, operations, and contract administration is an advantage.
