Google BigQuery Specialist : We're looking for a skilled data professional to join our team in a Hybrid work model. Role Highlights : Experience : 8 years in data engineering or a similar specialized role. Core Skills : Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Data Fusion, BigQuery, Dataproc, Python. Nice to Have : Git, Ansible Tower/Scripts, Jenkins. Key Responsibilities : - Design, build, and deploy robust and scalable data models and transformations primarily within Google BigQuery and Data Fusion. - Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and data pipelines to ensure high performance and efficiency in BigQuery. - Optimize data views for various use cases, including performance-critical applications and visualization tools. - Leverage GCP Data Fusion for building, orchestrating, and managing ETL/ELT data pipelines, integrating data from diverse sources. - Utilize Dataproc for processing large datasets using open-source frameworks like Apache Spark and Hadoop. - Develop and maintain data processing scripts using Python. - Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for data solutions, utilizing tools such as Git, Jenkins, and integrating with Google Secrets Manager for secure credential management. - Ensure adherence to Data Vault modeling principles for data warehousing solutions, where preferred. - Implement and promote DevOps practices for data pipelines, including automation, monitoring, and continuous integration. - Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues, ensuring data quality and reliability. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of data architecture, tools, and processes within the GCP ecosystem. Technical Environment : - GCP Ecosystem : Data Fusion, BigQuery, Dataproc. - Query Languages : SQL/T-SQL. - Programming Languages : Python. - Data Modeling : Data Vault modeling (preferred). - DevOps Practices : Git, Jenkins, Ansible. - Secret Management : Google Secrets Manager (ref:hirist.tech)
