Solution Architect - Oracle BRM Platform

Solution Architect Oracle BRM Total Experience Required : 10 to 15 yrs exp Relevant Experience required : 8 to 10 yrs exp Locations : Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai Responsibilities : - Work directly with customers' business teams to gain a thorough understanding of their current and future business operational needs related to billing, charging, and revenue management. - Translate complex business needs and operational requirements into clear and concise system requirement specifications. - Collaborate effectively with the Business team, project team members, architects from other domains, and Business Analysts to identify and capture detailed business rules, business processes, functional logic, and application flow diagrams. - Create comprehensive architectural documentation, including the overall solution architecture document, high-level design (HLD), and low-level design (LLD) documents for solutions delivered leveraging the Oracle BRM platform. - Design end-to-end solutions spanning multiple application modules within the BSS/OSS ecosystem, with a strong focus on High- Level Design, Low-Level Designs, and Interface Designing between various systems. - Conduct thorough capacity planning exercises and provide accurate effort estimations for proposed solutions within the BRM domain. - Collaborate closely and proactively with the BRM development team, Operations (OPS) team, domain Quality Assurance (QA), architects from other domains, and the System Integration Testing (SIT) team to ensure the delivered solution aligns precisely with the defined requirements and architectural blueprints. - Act as a technical leader within the team, guiding the overall implementation of solutions within Oracle BRM, its seamless integration with other critical applications, and the design of effective reporting mechanisms. - Drive the process of translating complex client business problems into innovative and effective technology-based solutions, while actively working to build strong and lasting customer relationships. - Work collaboratively with customers' business teams to understand their current and future business operational needs and effectively translate these needs into clear and actionable system requirement specifications. - Leverage extensive experience across the full software development lifecycle, demonstrating a strong understanding and appreciation of the inception, design, construction, deployment, and ongoing management aspects of a solution. - Take ownership of end-to-end solution architecture management, ensuring consistency, scalability, and maintainability. - Work in close collaboration with the Enterprise Architect to define, create, and maintain comprehensive software/application roadmaps, detailed architecture diagrams, intricate interaction diagrams, clear data flow and data definition documents, and well-defined interface definitions for enterprise applications. - Demonstrate strong hands-on experience with various solution development and modeling tools, such as MS Visio, Rational Rose, UML diagramming tools, and design pattern documentation. - Exhibit the ability to thrive and effectively manage tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong multi-tasking capabilities. - Possess a solid understanding of one or more formal methodologies for business requirements analysis and elicitation. - Demonstrate excellent skills in architecting high-performance and scalable applications within the Oracle BRM ecosystem. - Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with both technical and business stakeholders. - Proactively identify areas for potential enhancements within the existing systems and propose innovative solutions that add tangible value and benefit to customers. - Work closely with customers and the account management team to identify and create new business opportunities by leveraging your technical expertise and understanding of client needs. - Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with customers at all levels of their organization, building trust and rapport. Required Skills : - OBRM Solution Architect Expertise : 8 to 10 years of dedicated experience as a Solution Architect with a primary focus on Oracle Billing and Revenue Management (OBRM). - Telecom OSS/BSS Background : Strong background and in-depth understanding of Telecom Operations Support Systems (OSS) and Business Support Systems (BSS) domains. - Core BRM Expertise : Core expertise in billing system solution design and implementation using Oracle BRM, with a proven track record of successful deployments. - Integration Knowledge : Comprehensive knowledge of integrating OBRM with other critical BSS/OSS applications, including CRM, Order Management systems, Activation/Provisioning platforms, and Order Orchestration frameworks (for both Pre-paid and Post-paid services). - Charging and Billing Expertise : Deep understanding of charging and billing processes for both pre-paid and post-paid scenarios across various Lines of Business (LoB) within the telecommunications industry. - COTS Product Experience (Good to Have) : Experience in solution designing leveraging multiple Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products, with a strong emphasis on billing systems (OBRM is mandatory). - Technical Foundation : Solid understanding of designing and developing applications using various database technologies, J2EE technology, C/C++, Object-Oriented technology, and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). - BSS Solution Design with OBRM : Solid hands-on experience in BSS solution design specifically utilizing the Oracle BRM application, with a strong understanding of : - eTOM Architecture : Comprehensive understanding of the Telecommunications Operations Map (eTOM) framework. - TOGAF : Familiarity with the Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF). - Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) : Deep understanding and practical application of SOA principles. - End-to-End Solution Architecture Management : Proven ability to manage the architecture of end-to-end solutions, ensuring coherence and alignment across different components. - Solution Development Tools : Hands-on experience with various solution development and modeling tools such as MS Visio, Rational Rose, and UML diagramming tools. - Design Patterns : Familiarity and practical application of common software design patterns. - Business Requirements Analysis : Understanding of one or more formal methodologies for business requirements analysis and elicitation. - High-Performance Application Architecture : Excellent skills in architecting high-performance and scalable applications. - Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Proactive Enhancement Identification : Proven ability to proactively identify areas for enhancements and propose solutions that add significant value and benefit to customers. - New Business Opportunity Creation : Experience working closely with customers and account management teams to identify and create new business opportunities. - Customer Interaction : Ability to interact effectively and build strong relationships with customers at all levels of their organization (ref:hirist.tech)
