Automation Test Engineer - Selenium/Cypress

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Automation Test Engineer to join our QA team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and performance of software products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to identify bugs, verify fixes, and validate new features. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium - Create and manage test plans, test cases, and test data - Execute automated tests for web, mobile, and/or API applications - Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) - Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software - Conduct performance and load testing when required - Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies Required Skills & Qualifications : - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - [2] years of experience in software test automation - Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) - Experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or similar - Familiarity with RESTful API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured) - Experience with version control systems like Git - Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills - API Microservices Integration testing with automation primarily using Ready API tool - Functional Automation experience using Cypress, Selenium Java, Cucumber for UI will be an added advantage - Hands on experience in Data querying using SQL - Insurance Knowledge will be an advantage - 5 to 8 years of overall IT experience with min. 4 years of relevant experience - Knowledge and experience with full SDLC lifecycle - Excellent in Communication (both verbal and written), Organization and Team interaction skills - Talent has to face 2 rounds of Client interview and expected to work in second shift (2 to 11 PM) Mandatory Skills : API automation testing experience using Ready API and Groovy JavaScript Desired Skills : - Functional Automation experience using Cypress, Selenium-Java, Cucumber for UI (ref:hirist.tech)
