ETL Tester - Software Quality Assurance

Job Title : ETL Testing - 6 Years of experience in ETL, SQL, Oracle - Python and shell scripting, Skills : - 6 Years of experience in ETL, SQL, Oracle We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced ETL Tester to join our QA team. The ETL Tester will be responsible for validating data extraction, transformation, and loading processes, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and quality across enterprise data systems. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and execute ETL test plans and test cases based on business requirements and data mappings. - Validate data movement from source to target systems through ETL processes (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS). - Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data transformation rules and logic. - Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, and validation across multiple data sources. - Identify, document, and track data anomalies and defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). - Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage. - Automate ETL test scripts and improve regression test coverage using tools or scripting languages. - Participate in code reviews, test reviews, and requirement walkthroughs. Required Skills and Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 6 years of experience in ETL testing or data warehouse testing. - Strong proficiency in SQL and data analysis. - Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or DataStage. - Familiarity with data warehouse concepts (star/snowflake schema, fact/dimension tables). - Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting (Python, Shell, etc.) is a plus. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Knowledge of cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery) is a plus.
