Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and driven Junior Sous Chef to assist in managing the kitchen, support senior chefs, and help lead the brigade to deliver exceptional food quality and consistency. You'll take charge during service, ensure kitchen standards are upheld, and contribute to the creation of exciting, seasonal menus. Duties Include: Supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef in the execution of daily kitchen operations. Managing specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and timely service. Leading and motivating junior kitchen staff during prep and service times. Ensuring all dishes meet established presentation and taste standards. Upholding food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards across all workstations. Assisting with staff training and development of new team members. Contributing ideas for new menu items and seasonal specials. Monitoring mise en place to ensure kitchen readiness for every service. Managing waste and assisting with stock rotation to ensure freshness and cost control. Stepping into leadership responsibilities during the absence of senior chefs.
