Job Description

Purpose of the job: The candidate will be responsible for the overall implementation and execution of highly effective quality assurance and process change management systems. He/she will need to assure that all processes for the respective areas are maintained, followed up, and improved in accordance with relevant standards, rules, and regulations. The candidate will also be responsible for all aspects of quality assurance and regulatory affairs functions that impact raw materials, in-process products, finished goods products, technical reporting, and customer centricity. Key Responsibilities include but not limited to the following: Key contributor to the site management team. Perform the function of Site Quality Management Representative. Ensure quality management system (QMS) compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2025. Conduct and control the auditing and evaluation of all aspects of the QMS to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and customer requirements. Initiate action, follow up, and resolve the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and QMS. Identify and record problems with product, process, and QMS. Initiate and action solutions. Involvement in the new product development process on-site. Manage site Laboratories and liaison with third party testing Laboratories. Maintain an effective and robust CAPA system. Provide structured documentation control system to be used for process descriptions and process improvement records. Report on legal and technical non-compliance following the completion of risk assessment of operational activities, systems and equipment. Actively participate in the development of new projects, providing the appropriate quality standards and procedures. Initiate employee training programs to ensure the understanding, adoption, and application of company policy and quality standards. Identify and measure process deviations that impact product quality so that corrective action programs can be implemented. Evaluate and develop operating procedures to reduce waste levels. Manage all customer complaints and adverse reactions. Investigate and report on root causes and corrective action required to reduce/eliminate customer complaints and adverse reactions. Manage, conduct and report on both internal(systems) and external(suppliers) audits. Quarantines and makes recommendation on action for defective raw materials, work-in progress and finished products. Engages with the product development team ensuring that product safety and quality are maintained from conception, through validation, until final handover to production. Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Knowledge: Degree / National Diploma in Textile Technology A tertiary qualification in quality management and ISO 9001 auditing will be advantageous. Minimum 5 years of experience in a vertical textile production operation with a proven and traceable record of leadership in root cause analysis and CAPA. Candidates with proven experience in the dyeing and finishing of textile fabrics (advantageous) Attention to detail. Excellent analytical and numeracy skills. Excellent computer literacy skills. Ability to work under pressure and balance multiple reporting deadlines. Excellent written work presentation skills. Excellent quality communication skills with internal and external individuals of the business.
