Job Description

Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related field ( non-negotiable ) Minimum 10 years experience in payroll management Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with SAGE 300 ( non-negotiable ) Experience managing payroll for at least 500 employees Must reside in or near the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town ( non-negotiable ) Proficiency in Excel formulas ( non-negotiable ) Skills: High attention to detail Strong problem-solving and analytical ability Excellent time management and organizational skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle confidential information with integrity Ability to streamline processes and enhance system efficiency Responsibilities: Process monthly payroll changes including new hires, terminations, commissions Manage payroll runs for salaried, hourly, and commission-based employees Perform reconciliations and generate costing/variance reports in Excel Submit statutory payments (PAYE, UIF, Workmens Compensation) Maintain robust payroll policies, procedures, and controls Liaise with SAGE consultants on system-related issues Work closely with the Financial Director on bank and general ledger reconciliations Resolve payroll queries and escalate when necessary Manage payroll-related administration and documentation Coordinate with Medical Aid and Group Life service providers Assist with audit processes and provide payroll information as needed
