We currently have the following opportunity: Modern Apprentice Store Person (Fixed Term for 12 Months) - PKC12665 £23,650 Friarton Depot, Perth The overall purpose of this job is for you to gain the skills and knowledge required to ensure that Perth & Kinross Council's provision of a comprehensive Stores function within Fleet Management based at Friarton Depot in Perth is maintained. During this time you will undertake an Apprenticeship and continuous personnel development on the job training and become a fully skilled and qualified Store Person with duties consisting of and under supervision for the updating and maintaining of a specialised stores computer system (key2). You will assist with the purchase of vehicles/horticultural parts as well as a range of protective clothing and cleaning stock etc. You will undertake multi discipline activities, including assisting with the management of materials and maintaining stock levels in various areas as well as general housekeeping. Skills & Experience Required You will have a good understanding of duties related to working in a Stores Department environment. Previous work experience of this nature is advantageous You will have good communication skills and telephone manner. You will be a reliable, highly motivated person capable of working as part of a team. You will have Standard Grade general/national 4 or above in Maths, English and a Science or Technical subject.
