KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Legal Document Preparation: Draft and review comprehensive immigration petitions, applications, motions, and briefs with meticulous attention to detail Client Advocacy: Represent clients zealously in immigration court proceedings, USCIS interviews, and other administrative hearings Case Management: Handle a diverse caseload spanning family-based immigration, removal defense, asylum, naturalization, and employment-based matters Client Consultation: Conduct thorough intake meetings, develop case strategies, and provide clear guidance on complex immigration matters Legal Research: Stay current on rapidly evolving immigration laws, policies, and procedural changes to ensure optimal client outcomes Team Collaboration: Work closely with paralegals, interpreters, and other attorneys to deliver coordinated and effective legal services QUALIFICATIONS Required: J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar membership in good standing Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills Excellent interpersonal abilities and cultural sensitivity Commitment to serving immigrant communities with empathy and respect Capacity to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work Superior organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred: 1-3 years of immigration law experience New York State Bar admission Proficiency in Hindi, Punjabi, or other languages relevant to our client base (Hindi and Punjabi preferred but not required) Experience with immigration case management software Familiarity with the Queens/NYC immigration court system WHAT WE OFFER Competitive Compensation: $90,000-$130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications Work-Life Balance: Full-time position with weekends off Professional Development: Mentorship opportunities and continuing legal education support Growth Potential: Clear path for advancement within a rapidly expanding practice Meaningful Work: Opportunity to make a significant impact in clients' lives during critical legal challenges HOW TO APPLY Qualified candidates should submit the following to Jjunuzlaw@gmail.com or Akshay@lawofficeofjj.com : Comprehensive resume highlighting relevant experience Thoughtful cover letter explaining your interest in immigration law and our firm Please include "Immigration Attorney Application - [Your Name]" in the subject line.
