Team Leader: Underwriting

TWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Team Leader: Underwriting within the Financial Services division at Mbombela, Mpumalanga. Responsibilities & Duties Lead and develop a team of personal and commercial lines insurance advisors Set and monitor performance targets; identify training needs Build and maintain relationships with clients; oversee policy new business, renewals, and endorsements Ensure compliance with FAIS, FICA, and other regulatory requirements Oversee accurate record-keeping and documentation within the team Implement and monitor adherence to internal policies and procedures Collaborate with underwriters to ensure smooth operations Analyse sales trends and team performance; provide reports and recommendations to management Assist in developing and implementing business strategies for commercial and personal insurance growth Monitor market trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge Monthly Operational Reports Assist in Branch operations Qualifications & Skills Matric / Grade 12 RE5 qualification FAIS accreditation and compliance with CPD requirements (advantageous) NQF Level 4 or higher in Short-term Insurance Minimum of 12 years experience in short-term insurance Experience in managing a sales and service team (advantageous) In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products and underwriting principles (advantageous) Experience in a leadership role (advantageous) Strong leadership and team management abilities Excellent communication and negotiation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Bilingual (Afrikaans and English) *The company can expire job adverts at any time at their own discretion.
