Senior Data Science Consultant

My client is looking for Senior Data Science Consultant fully remote role in South Africa. Requirements: · Bachelors degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (postgraduate degree preferred) · 2 years of experience in strategic or management consulting with a focus on data-driven decision-making · 5 years in mid to senior-level data science roles, with experience leading projects and mentoring teams · Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate or similar certification (advantageous) · Background in pricing or risk modelling within banking or insurance (advantageous) · Proficient in Python and SQL for data analysis and modelling · Strong working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI · Skilled in statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques · Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Machine Learning · Comfortable using PySpark and Apache Spark for distributed computing, especially within Azure environments · Expertise with Delta Lake / Delta Tables, Databricks, or similar lakehouse technologies (advantageous) · Proven experience building Synapse Pipelines that integrate: SQL stored procedures, Spark jobs (via Synapse Notebooks or Spark Pools), API integrations, Orchestration and automation workflows If you would like to apply for this position, please send transcripts with applications.
