Job Description
Job Title: WLAN Developer (Embedded SW) Experience : 3 to 9 Years Location : Chennai, Bangalore, Pollachi, Manesar We are seeking an experienced WLAN Developer (Embedded Software) to join a dynamic team focused on cutting-edge networking technologies. This role requires a strong background in WLAN/Linux driver development, proficiency in C programming, and hands-on experience with both networking drivers and wireless communication systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of WLAN protocols, OpenWRT/Embedded Linux platforms, and Wi-Fi security standards. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain WLAN/Linux drivers for various wireless devices, ensuring optimal performance and stability. - Work with networking drivers, Ethernet, and Wireless LAN technologies to implement and enhance functionalities. - Design and implement Wi-Fi security mechanisms, including WPA, WPA2, and WPA-PSK for secure wireless communication. - Work closely with the hardware team to optimize drivers for wireless communication in embedded systems. - Conduct development and testing on OpenWRT/Embedded Linux platforms, ensuring compatibility and performance. - Stay updated on the latest developments in WLAN/802.11 standards (a/b/g/n, 802.11k, v, r, 802.11s) and integrate these standards into the development process. - Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of WLAN drivers to ensure they meet functional and performance specifications. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and troubleshoot complex issues. Key Skills & Requirements: - Strong experience in WLAN/Linux driver development, specifically in embedded systems. - Proficiency in C programming, with a strong emphasis on low-level system development. - In-depth experience working with networking drivers, Ethernet, and Wireless LAN technologies. - Solid understanding of Wi-Fi security protocols (WPA, WPA2, WPA-PSK) and the configuration of access points. - Familiarity with OpenWRT and other Embedded Linux platforms, including experience in driver integration and testing. - Strong understanding of WLAN/802.11 standards (including a/b/g/n, 802.11k, v, r, and 802.11s). - Background in wireless networking development or testing. - Knowledge of Wireless LAN protocols and their practical applications is a plus. - Ability to work independently, while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: - Hands-on experience with 802.11ac/802.11ax standards and advanced features. - Experience with performance tuning and optimization of wireless communication systems. - Familiarity with wireless testing tools and debugging techniques.
