Experience : 2 Years Notice Period : Immediate to 15 days only Job Summary : We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. As a Test Engineer 1, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software and embedded systems through comprehensive testing strategies and execution. You will play a crucial role in the entire testing lifecycle, from test planning and design to execution, defect management, and reporting. A strong emphasis will be placed on your ability to leverage automation and scripting, particularly using Python, to enhance testing efficiency and coverage. You will collaborate closely with engineering and development teams to identify and resolve issues, contributing directly to the delivery of high-quality products to our clients. Responsibilities : Automation and Scripting : - Directly manage and execute engineering activities related to the development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices. - Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Python. - Identify opportunities for test automation to improve efficiency and coverage across various testing phases. - Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline. Test Planning and Execution : - Define the conditions for test execution based on requirements and design specifications. - Oversee and execute all phases of testing, including functional testing, performance testing, mobile testing (Android and/or iOS), integration testing, and system testing. - Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test data based on project requirements. - Execute test cases meticulously and record test results accurately. Mobile Application Testing : - Conduct thorough testing of mobile applications on Android and/or iOS platforms, ensuring functionality, usability, performance, and security. - Utilize mobile testing tools and frameworks for manual and automated testing. - Identify and report platform-specific issues and ensure adherence to mobile best practices. Workflow Coordination : - Coordinate operational workflows throughout the functional and performance testing lifecycle, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to timelines. - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide timely feedback. Data Analysis and Reporting : - Analyze and interpret complex test data to identify root causes of defects and performance bottlenecks. - Generate detailed and comprehensive technical reports summarizing test results, defect analysis, and overall quality status. - Communicate technical findings effectively to engineering and development teams, providing actionable insights for issue resolution. Defect Management : - Identify, log, track, and manage defects using a defect tracking system. - Work closely with developers to reproduce and verify bug fixes. - Participate in defect triage meetings to prioritize and resolve issues. Collaboration and Communication : - Work collaboratively across cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and other QA engineers. - Effectively communicate technical findings, progress updates, and potential risks to stakeholders. - Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Required Skills : Programming & Automation : - Strong hands-on experience with Python programming is mandatory. - Proven experience in developing and implementing test automation frameworks using Python-based libraries and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, PyTest, Robot Framework). Mobile Testing : - Proficiency in mobile application testing on Android and/or iOS platforms is essential. - Experience with mobile testing tools (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest) and Fundamentals : - Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies (Agile, Waterfall), and the software development lifecycle (SDLC). - Strong understanding of test planning, test case design, test execution, and defect lifecycle management. Tools & Technologies : - Familiarity with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). - Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr). - Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests. Analytical & Problem-Solving : - Ability to analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and propose solutions. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Communication & Collaboration : - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Preferred Skills (Good to Have) : - Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner). - Knowledge of API testing and tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured). - Familiarity with database testing and SQL. - Exposure to embedded systems testing. - Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
