Android Bluetooth Engineer - Embedded System

Job Role : Android Bluetooth Engineer Experience Required: 5 to 7 Years Location : Bangalore We are looking for an experienced Android Bluetooth Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru. This role is for someone who is passionate about Bluetooth technology and has strong experience working with Bluetooth protocols, especially within the Android environment. You will be responsible for developing, integrating, and testing Bluetooth features on Android Develop and integrate Bluetooth features into the Android framework, ensuring seamless performance across Android devices. This includes working with Bluetooth profiles such as HFP (Hands-Free Profile), PBAP (Phone Book Access Profile), A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile), MAP (Message Access Profile), SPP (Serial Port Profile), and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). - Perform Bluetooth SIG Profile Tuning Suite (PTS) testing, ensuring that Bluetooth features pass all required tests for certification. Support the certification process by addressing issues and ensuring that Bluetooth features work as expected across different devices and platforms. - Analyze Bluetooth-related issues and bugs, identify the root cause, and apply fixes. Utilize Bluetooth protocol analyzers and sniffer logs to investigate and resolve issues at both the software and hardware levels, ensuring optimal Bluetooth functionality in Android devices. - Use Bluetooth protocol analyzers, such as Frontline or similar tools, to analyze Bluetooth air sniffer logs and snoop logs to detect, diagnose, and resolve issues related to Bluetooth connections, stability, and performance. - Work closely with various teams, including software engineers, quality assurance teams, product managers, and other stakeholders, to integrate Bluetooth features into Android devices efficiently. Collaborate on feature design, integration testing, and software validation to meet project milestones. - Follow SPICE (Software Process Improvement and Capability dEtermination) guidelines throughout the entire software development lifecycle. This includes the development of software requirements, conducting requirement reviews, writing test cases, performing integration testing using frameworks like Tradefed, and executing final software qualification testing and validation. - Ensure that all technical documentation, including test cases, issue reports, and development procedures, is properly maintained and shared with the team. Provide detailed reports and updates to stakeholders regarding the progress of Bluetooth feature development and testing. Skills Required : - Strong understanding of Bluetooth technology, protocol stack, and profiles. - Experience with Android framework and Bluetooth integration. - Proficiency in C++ and Java for Android development. - Hands-on experience with Bluetooth protocol analyzers and log analysis. - Familiarity with Bluetooth PTS testing and certification. - Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and other Bluetooth profiles. - Adherence to SPICE guidelines for software development and testing.
