Embedded CarPlay Engineer - Communication Protocols

Job Description

Job Role: Embedded CarPlay 3 to 8 Years Location: Infotainment Software Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation Technology) or equivalent Key Design, develop, and maintain middleware and connectivity modules for infotainment systems on Linux/QNX/Android-based platforms - Implement and integrate Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Baidu CarLife, and Apple iAP protocol stacks - Analyze software requirements and perform software design and development activities - Conduct unit testing, peer code reviews, debugging, and functional validation - Work with configuration management and version control tools including GIT, Plastic SCM, and CM Synergy - Collaborate across teams and competencies to ensure seamless system integration - Debug and resolve issues reported from in-field usage and during testing on target hardware - Follow Agile development methodologies and contribute to sprint planning and estimations - Support Apple/Google certification and compliance testing processes - Ensure software quality, performance, and scalability across vehicle models Required Skills and Experience: - Proficient in C and C++ programming for embedded systems - Strong experience on Linux/QNX/Android platforms - At least 1 years of experience in embedded development within the automotive domain - Solid understanding of Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Baidu CarLife, and Apple iAP protocol stack - Hands-on knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, RS232, I2S, USB and other serial communication protocols - Familiarity with version control systems such as GIT, Plastic SCM, or CM Synergy - Experience with unit testing frameworks such as GTest, GMock, CPP Test Framework - Strong debugging and analytical skills with the ability to own and resolve complex issues - Exposure to tools like Vector CANoe, Eclipse IDE, and Virtual Machine-based development environments - Understanding of UML diagrams, including state and sequence diagrams - Experience with requirements and design tools like DOORS, Polarion, and EA Preferred Attributes: - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Self-motivated and energetic with a problem-solving mindset - A team player with the ability to work in cross-functional and global environments - Passion for technology and innovation in the automotive space - Willingness to learn and work on emerging connectivity standards and infotainment platforms (ref:hirist.tech)
