Software Development Engineer - Test - Python/API Testing

Job Role: SDET Engineer (Python TypeScript) Experience : 9 to 14 years Location : Pune / Bangalore / Chennai / Kolkata We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test ( SDET ) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining automation frameworks and ensuring the overall quality of our cloud-based client-server applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in both software development and testing practices, particularly in API automation and test automation frameworks. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, maintain, and optimize automation frameworks from scratch. - Design and implement test automation solutions for cloud-based applications, primarily on AWS/GCP. - Create and execute automated tests for RESTful APIs and WebSocket communication protocols. - Lead the effort to integrate API automation testing into the CI/CD pipeline. - Work with development teams to identify and resolve issues early in the software development lifecycle. - Ensure comprehensive test coverage by designing, writing, and running automated tests. - Participate in code reviews and provide guidance on best practices for test automation and quality assurance. - Continuously improve the automation framework and processes to increase efficiency and test coverage. - Stay updated with industry best practices, new technologies, and tools to improve the overall testing strategy. Mandatory Skills: - Strong expertise in TypeScript coding. - Solid understanding of WebSockets and their implementation in real-world applications. - Proven experience in REST API testing and API Automation, using tools such as PyTest, RestAssured, or similar frameworks. - Hands-on experience in building automated test frameworks for cloud-based environments, particularly on AWS/GCP. - Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, and C++ for developing testing solutions. - Experience in working with version control systems such as Git. - Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of test automation within them. - Familiarity with Node.js, Express, Docker, Nginx, and Kubernetes (K8s). - A strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and A degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 9 to 14 years of experience in software development, testing, and automation engineering. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - A proactive attitude with an ability to drive innovation and efficiency in automation processes.
