Join us in accelerating positive global impact. Spain Team The Spain Team, established in 2024 and based in Barcelona (Sarria-Sant Gervasi), is a growing, dynamic unit. You will join a highly qualified team, including our Country Manager and an Innovation Consultant, working closely with colleagues in the Netherlands to drive global impact. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a new division, with plans to establish a dedicated Spain consultancy team by the end of 2025. MANAGING CONSULTANT We are seeking applicants with fluency in both Spanish and English, and experience in team leadership. As a Managing Consultant, you will lead and develop a team of approximately six innovation consultants, acting as a role model and playing a critical role in enhancing organizational performance. You will collaborate closely with the Country Manager in Spain to expand Catalyze’s market presence. You will identify key challenges in our clients’ innovation development processes, define suitable projects to overcome these challenges, and help bring innovations to market. Your expertise in innovation consultancy, network in the funding landscape, and ability to generate new business will be vital. You will also oversee team performance, ensure high-quality client service, and contribute to strategic initiatives. Responsibilities Team Leadership: Provide guidance to strengthen team cohesion and morale. Address escalations to maintain a productive work environment. Performance Management: Oversee team results, monitor performance and financial outcomes, and implement productivity strategies. Planning and Resource Allocation: Strategically assign projects to maximize output. Personal Development and Engagement: Support team members’ growth and foster a motivating environment. Quality Assurance and Operational Oversight: Ensure project quality standards are met and oversee administrative processes. Strategic Contribution: Align activities with Catalyze’s vision and mission, and contribute to organizational performance. Client Support: Lead client assignments and contribute to project success, serving as a role model. Account Management & Business Development: Maintain and grow a network of clients, identify opportunities, and collaborate with the Spain Country Manager. Qualifications Proven leadership skills and experience in a consultancy environment. Passion for innovations in Life Sciences & Health, Green & Sustainable, or Industrial & Digital Tech. Relevant Master’s degree, preferably in science or business. At least 6 years of experience in grant writing, strategic/business planning, or managing large projects. Minimum of 5 years in a commercial environment supporting business development. Deep understanding of scientific innovation development from ideation to commercialization. Strong knowledge of Spanish grants/loans such as NEOTEC, RETOS Colaboracion, ENISA, Torres Quevedo, R&D Nuclis Accio. Proven success in securing Spanish grants, with knowledge of application processes and timelines. Willingness to travel to Barcelona once a month, if based elsewhere. Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, organization, and communication skills in both Spanish and English. What we offer Permanent contract on an Employer of Record basis.
