In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and emissions compliance of vehicle powertrains by fine-tuning control parameters. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to strategic technology decisions through: Adjust engine parameters (such as air-fuel mixture, ignition timing, and other engine controls) to achieve optimal performance in terms of power, fuel efficiency, and emissions. Conduct tests on test benches or under real driving conditions to evaluate how the engine responds to different operating conditions (such as temperature, speed, load, etc.) and ensure it operates within the established parameters. Ensure that the engine complies with environmental and emissions regulations. This includes adjusting the engine control system to minimize pollutant emissions while maintaining performance. Collect and analyze test data to identify areas for improvement in engine performance. This involves using diagnostic tools and software to continuously monitor and adjust engine parameters. Collaborate in the development of new engines or propulsion technologies (such as hybrid or electric) to ensure new engines meet performance and emissions targets from the start. Work on the continuous improvement of engine energy efficiency, aiming to optimize fuel consumption and reduce CO2 emissions without sacrificing power. What about our recruiting process? Here are the key qualifications and skills required: Proven 1 year experience as a calibration engineer Ability to interpret data and make precise adjustments to powertrain systems Proficiency in at least one: INCA, CANalyzer, Matlab, Simulink Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with project management and development teams, fostering a harmonious and goal-oriented work environment.
