Job Description
Job Title: Software Engineer II Job Description: Vanderlande is a global leader in value-added logistic process automation for warehouses, airports, and the parcel market. The Regional Customer Center Spain, based in Barcelona, focuses on South Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy, France) and Latin American countries (Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Panama, Uruguay). Responsibilities: Participate actively in project definition phases. Create project configurations for software components. Design detailed application architectures and implement them, including software and interface development for related systems. Verify software components, create unit tests, and review test documentation. Deploy, verify, and support components in factory and site environments, including commissioning at customer sites. Maintain related documentation and project deliverables. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve internal and external problems and implement requested changes. Provide support within the project team and to external stakeholders, including Level 3 support. Collaborate closely with Controls Engineers, Project Managers, and other Engineering department members across multiple projects. Report directly to the IT Software Team Leader. Your Profile: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Systems or Software Engineering, with a preference for B2B experience. Experience with real-time systems. At least 2 years of software development experience with C# and SQL Server. Basic knowledge of SQL language. Understanding of TCP/IP interfaces. Advanced knowledge of Angular. Experience with the .NET framework. Familiarity with Jira and Bitbucket. Proficient in English (written and verbal); good command of Spanish (B2). Proven experience in successfully implementing APIs. Strong communication skills and a creative approach to building professional client relationships. Ability to work effectively in an international environment. Willingness to travel occasionally worldwide. Team-oriented mindset. Attention to detail and focus on delivering value. Highly Regarded (optional): Driving license. Knowledge of networking and IT infrastructure. Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker. Experience with big data analysis and BI platforms. Experience in logistics or material handling sectors. Agile mindset with experience in Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
