Medical Biller and Collector

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, team player and detail-oriented Medical Biller and Collector to join our team in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in medical billing and collections, with a strong background in Coding, Pre-Authorization, Workers Comp Claims, and Insurance Certification. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Accurately process and submit claims to insurance companies. ​Follow up on unpaid claims and handle denials or rejections. Manage pre-authorization processes to ensure timely approval of services. Ensure timely collection of outstanding balances from patients and insurance companies. Maintain detailed records of billing activities and collections. Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies. Stay updated with the latest healthcare billing regulations and practices. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Education & Experience Certification in Coding and Billing is required. Insurance Certification and Workers Comp Claims experience and knowledge with pre-authorization processes are strongly preferred. ​7 years of experience in medical billing and collections. Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding (ICD-10, CPT). Experience of 5 years with ICD-10 required Proficiency in billing software and electronic health records (EHR).
