Software Architect

Experian is looking for a Software Architect. The overall responsibility and accountability of the role will be for the architecture and technology roadmap of the Axesor’s products platforms. You will spend your time translating client requirements, market opportunities and technology advancements into the ongoing evolution of the platform architecture, our data and our application layers. Specifically, as we make the move to cloud of our existing platform and we execute our roadmap for modernizing our product platforms, you will efficiently update the platforms architecture to support new use cases while maintaining response times, reliability and the overall robustness of the service. In this regard, you will have the opportunity to provide leadership in high-throughput data connectivity, data transformations, cloud platform development, and AI/Machine Learning integrations. The position will also involve designing and architecting solutions leveraging platforms and applications built and managed by our delivery squads, global delivery centers or third parties. You will report directly to the Head of IT of Spain and work closely with team members in the delivery squads, Operations teams and Product Areas in Spain. Location: Preferable location in Granada. Other locations could be evaluated depending on the candidate value. Knowledge, Skills and Experience At least 5 years work experience in a software architect role. At least 3 years responsible for technology roadmaps for enterprise applications. Proficiency in .Net, Java & Spring, JEE, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Container technologies (such as Kubernetes & Docker), cloud architectures (such as AWS). Extensive knowledge of architecture and software engineering with current and advanced technologies, at all layers (application, data, platform), including cloud. Full stack senior hands-on software development expertise. Proven experience creating, building, and executing on a long-term technology vision, including tech stack evolution. Demonstrated success in ability to coach and mentor software developers. Excellent communication and presentation skills, and ability to influence outside one’s own organization. Demonstrated ability to assertively drive initiatives to execution with little supervision, while proactively communicating status to key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Document current application architecture for all products in the Business Information Business. Revise client and product requests and design the best architectural approach for their delivery. Define programming best practices and design common architectural elements to be used by the delivery teams. Help design estimation and programming efficiency frameworks that fit with Experian's global policies and strategies. Define cloud architectural frameworks to be used in the modernization of applications. Help define future IT Roadmap for all Business Information products platforms. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or other related field.
