Country Medical Director Iberia

CSL Vifor is currently looking for a Country Medical Director Iberia to be based at our office in Barcelona. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Country Medical Director Iberia to lead our medical affairs activities. Responsibilities Act as a role model for all local Medical activities. Develop and maintain up-to-date scientific and medical knowledge (TAs and products). Lead and develop a motivated Medical team, setting clear objectives and medical plans. Coach team members and monitor their performance. Bring healthcare expertise, therapeutic knowledge, and compliance understanding to senior leadership. Collaborate with brand leads and market access teams to shape strategies. Develop and implement annual medical plans aligned with country strategies. Share medical insights and coordinate with HQ Medical teams. Manage Medical budget planning and deployment. Engage with external stakeholders and professional organizations. Build relationships with health authorities and contribute to access strategies. Develop local evidence generation plans and oversee medical communication activities. Act as a company spokesperson as assigned. Advise on medical team deployment and resource planning. Utilize CRM data to analyze field activities and insights. Ensure compliance with local laws and internal policies in medical activities. Review and approve local medical materials and engagements. Qualifications MD, PharmD, or PhD with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in pharma Medical Affairs or Clinical Development. At least 2 years of proven leadership and people management experience. Knowledge of local healthcare compliance topics. Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders. Working knowledge of commercialization, budgeting, and business practices. Fluent in Spanish and English (verbal and written). Preferred Qualifications Medical specialization in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, or Cardiology. 10 years in pharma Medical Affairs or Clinical Development, with regional or global experience. Experience in non-interventional studies and publication record. Knowledge in Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, and Quality Management.
