Head of Engineering

Leads 3 to 6 engineering managers and collaborates across departments to roll out new web systems and enhance existing ones. Stays updated with new technologies, identifies high-level architecture for platforms and software, and promotes best organizational practices. Addresses high-level challenges, balancing software quality with development speed. Identifies hiring needs and participates in recruitment processes. Guides engineers' career development, improves the engineering ladder, and aligns team structures with business goals. Manages department staffing, resources, mentoring, and maintains a top-tier engineering team. About You Proficient in at least one programming language, either in Frontend or Backend. Excellent understanding of monolith and microservices architecture. Extensive knowledge of Continuous Delivery principles and patterns. Good understanding of DevOps tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Confident with AWS Cloud infrastructure. Experience with Agile principles and Scrum methodology. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience. Proven track record leading distributed engineering and operations teams in software companies. Good written and spoken English skills.
