Field Service Engineer - Bedford

About the Role Join a growing renewable products team within a forward-thinking site services provider. As a skilled field-based technician, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality service and customer experience. With relevant sector qualifications, you'll carry out the installation, calibration, and maintenance of eco-friendly equipment on client sites. You bring strong problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and a consistent focus on safe working practices. Role Purpose To support the expansion of a renewables division focused on sustainable, eco-conscious site solutions - with the aim of becoming a market leader in clean power provision. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, servicing, system checks, and safety inspections in line with internal procedures and legal standards (training in MPBA Electrical and Solar PV Testing provided). Install and configure renewable energy products on-site. Deliver on-site handovers, guiding clients through the operation and maintenance of installed systems. Ensure equipment is fully operational and sign-off procedures are completed. Troubleshoot and complete repairs on renewable systems as needed. Manage the decommissioning process post-hire, including safe disconnection of equipment and battery care. Engage with internal support teams to ensure installations are efficient and meet customer expectations.
